报告摘要:
In light of the increasing interest in dislocation-tuned fuctional properties and the technologicalpotential that dislocations may hold in ceramics , dislocation mechanics in ceramics is drawving reneivedattention. To facilitate the diglocation research im ceramics, a key challenge is to engmeer dhelocations intobrittle ceramic materals without inducing cracks. lo this end, we have separately examied dislocationnucleation, multiplication, and motion, enabling us to tailor dislocations into some ceramics at roomtemperature. We can now achieve a dislocalion density raneine from “10!m'to ~10i/m'in with a plasticzone size of up to hundreds of micrometers using a deformation toolbox that has been developed in oueroup since 2019, now with the materials toolbox being extended for discovering more plasticalldeforable perovskite oxides at meso- macroscale at room temperature. flere. wll brietly introduce thestwvo toolboxes and showcase their general applicability, in hope of paving the road for developingdislocation technology in ceramics
